Tigers and Lady Tigers Capture Multiple Event Titles

BATON ROUGE – The LSU track and field teams continued their historic seasons by dominating the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Outdoor Championships, which concluded Sunday in College Station, Texas.

LSU Men's Track and Field

The LSU men's team captured its first SEC Outdoor Championship since 2019, scoring 151 points. The Tigers won seven event titles, including victories in the 100-meter dash (Terrance Laird), 200-meter dash (Laird), 400-meter hurdles (Sean Burrell), long jump (Rayvon Grey), triple jump (JuVaughn Harrison), shot put (Sean Dixon), and hammer throw (Tadarian Mack).

LSU Women's Track and Field

The LSU women's team finished second overall with 113 points, just behind Arkansas' 119 points. The Lady Tigers won four event titles, including victories in the 100-meter hurdles (Tonea Marshall), 400-meter hurdles (Britton Wilson), long jump (Abigail O'Donoghue), and triple jump (Fiona Richards).

NCAA Berths Secured

Both the LSU men's and women's teams secured berths to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which will be held June 7-10 in Eugene, Oregon. The Tigers and Lady Tigers will be among the favorites to compete for national titles.
